Andreas Röhling has been a partner since 1992 and works in our Cologne office. He is a member of our antitrust, competition and trade (ACT) practice group and specialises in all aspects of the cartel, competition and energy law sectors as well as the principles of free trade in European Community law. Advisory activities include all areas of the deregulated energy markets, with particular focus on co-operation agreements, energy supply agreements and access to the energy supply networks of competitors as well as control of abusive practices and mergers.

Andreas was born in 1952. He completed his legal education at the universities of Bonn and Bielefeld (both Germany). Before becoming a lawyer in 1986, he worked for several years for the Federal Cartel Office (Bundeskartellamt) in Berlin. He is a member of the German Bar Association, the Studienvereinigung Kartellrecht and the German Association for the Protection of Industrial Property and Copyright (member of the antitrust committee). 

He is co-editor of the 'Kölner Kommentar zum Kartellrecht' (former: Müller-Henneberg, 'Gemeinschaftskommentar') and the handbook 'Stromwirtschaft' (trade of electricity), co-author in the 'Münchener Kommentar zum Kartellrecht'.

Andreas joined the firm in 1988.
