Experience

Christian Borris is a partner and works in our Cologne office. He specialises in national and international arbitration (including investment dispute arbitration). In addition, Christian has extensive experience in the area of mergers & acquisitions. He has acted as counsel or arbitrator in numerous arbitral proceedings, inter alia, under the auspices of the German Institution of Arbitration (DIS) and the ICC.

Christian completed his legal education at the universities of Giessen, Cologne and Miami/USA and holds the degree of doctor of laws from the University of Cologne. From 1987 to 1989, Christian was assistant to the President of the Iran-United-States Claims Tribunal in The Hague/Netherlands.

Christian is author of numerous publications in the area of national and international arbitration and co-founder of the Dispute Resolution Forum Duesseldorf/Cologne.

Christian joined the firm in 1989. He speaks German and English.
