Experience

Steven is a partner in the corporate group, based in our Amsterdam office. 

Steven has wide experience of corporate and securities practice and advises major Dutch and international corporate clients. He specialises in mergers and acquisitions (including public M&A and securities), equity offerings and joint ventures.

Steven has published numerous articles and books. From 1988-2002 he was a professor of securities law at the Erasmus University and from 1998-2003 he was non-executive director of Reed Elsevier. Steven is on the editorial board of the prestigious ASSER series on civil and company law.

Steven joined the firm in 1999. He was educated in Nijmegen (graduated in 1972, becoming a doctor of law in 1986). He speaks Dutch and English and has a working knowledge of French.
