Freshfields strengthens London finance practice with partner move

International law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer is strengthening its derivatives and structured finance capabilities in London with the relocation of partner Perry Sayles.

Formerly a finance partner in the firm’s New York and Hong Kong offices, US-qualified Perry’s move will enhance the firm’s capabilities to advise on complex derivatives and structured products. He will bring to the London and European practices his experience and insights from the US market and the US financial regulatory changes which are affecting structured products.

Simeon Rudin, head of the structured and asset finance team, commented: ‘With the intense focus of regulation on the derivatives and structured finance businesses of our clients in Europe and the US, there is a greater need to offer the benefit of our experience and insight in both of these markets. Perry’s expertise and US experience will bolster our ability to deliver an integrated cutting edge service to clients in today’s rapidly changing structured products market.’
