Our Amsterdam office has grown rapidly in response to client demand since it opened in 1999 and now houses over 90 lawyers.

We advise on corporate and M&A, banking and finance, (international) tax, antitrust and competition, intellectual property and information technology (IP/IT), litigation and international arbitration law.

Our Dutch corporate and M&A practice is an integral part of the firm's leading European M&A practice. It is active both on domestic work for Dutch corporate clients and on cross-border transactions for multinational corporations, in particular public and private M&A, capital market transactions, private equity and corporate restructuring. Our employment, pensions and benefits team works closely with our corporate practice.

Our banking and finance practice comprises a team of Dutch and English law qualified finance lawyers active in domestic and international transactions with particular experience in structured finance, securitisations, project finance, public private partnerships, asset finance and banking work.

With wide-ranging EU and national expertise on competition and regulatory matters, our Amsterdam antitrust practice supports our transactional M&A work and leads on antitrust investigations and litigation in which we represent clients before the Dutch, European and Luxembourg courts.

Our IP practice has considerable expertise in (cross-border) trade mark, copyright and patent litigation and advises on general IP issues. Outsourcing of IP/IT services is a substantial and growing part of our work.

The Amsterdam arbitration team is the only full-time arbitration practice in the Netherlands and acts as counsel for Dutch and multinational companies, as well as for government bodies, in high-value arbitrations around the globe. The team's litigation experience is wide-ranging, spanning regulatory and competition, general commercial, product liability, energy and IT.

Our Amsterdam tax team is fully integrated within our international tax practice and advises on the most complex and challenging tax issues. We work seamlessly with our corporate and finance practices. This integrated approach has resulted in many innovative transactions in the Netherlands and international markets. We also provide tax consultancy services outside the scope of transactions.

The firm is organised into cross-practice teams concentrating on industry sectors. This approach brings together a variety of legal skills, enabling us to give our clients the benefit of the widest possible industry knowledge and experience. The Amsterdam office is particularly active in the financial institutions, healthcare, telecoms, media and technology (TMT) and energy sectors.
