In-house training
We actively promote your professional training. The firm organises its own seminars and workshops in-house, particularly within the practices.
Continuing Professional Development (crediti formativi)
To comply with the new Italian Professional Rules, all registered Italian lawyers are required to undertake Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
The CPD year runs from 1 January to 31 December and all lawyers must complete 50 CPD hours in any three-year period.
The CPD requirement must be met by participating in accredited courses, authorised by the local Ordine degli Avvocati or the Consiglio Nazionale Forense. ‘Participation’ includes preparing, delivering and/or attending accredited courses. ‘Attendance’ means presence for the complete course. The CPD requirement can be met through a wide range of activities such as writing legal books and articles.
Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer offers accredited courses open to internal and external lawyers. For further information, please click here.
Practice group meetings
These are intended to enhance the practical experience of working with partners. They are held regularly to enable our junior legal staff to develop their knowledge and to ensure that all lawyers benefit from the firm's wide range of experience and expertise.
External training
We support your participation in external seminars and training courses. This support ranges from paying seminar or course fees to granting you leave to prepare for the lawyer’s exam in Italy.
For more information please contact Ida Bassano, Marta Ferrario or Giovanna Rossi.
